A bit more on Evergreen (Review, later shortened to just Evergreen) was a counterculture mag running in print from 1957 to 1973.
The articles were standard lefty fare, Che, Rubin, Hoffman, Hayden, hippies, yippies and you name it. It wandered off into primarily porn, where it withered, along with the 60''s movement on the era of OPEC and the end of Vietnam.
No doubt every 3 letter agency had interests in these publications.
