the good news is im off work for the next 2 days. Mom bought me two new books for my birthday which was last month. She brought one up to me when they came up for my lady's birthday 2 days ago. havent had a chance to crack into it, but im rather excited.

so 2morro will be reading about Mashiach from the perspective of Gershom Scholem. Yeah yeah yeah, muhjoo, kabbalah is evil, blah blah blah.

Before i ever decided to study kabbalah, i prayed. I told God, i desired to be shown Truth. this was in 2013. Shortly after this prayer, i ordered Aryeh Kaplan's book "EHYEH", and went on a trip with my father. He is a deacon and a lifelong christian. I asked my father if i could read the book aloud during our car ride. I told him, from what i had read so far, i couldnt find anything that did not go along with Jesus' teachings. As i read, i would take breaks so we could discuss the concepts being talked about in the book. The book lead to good conversations between us.

As we got to our hotel, i folded the corner of the page i was reading to mark it. As we walked in, i told him "Hmm..i wonder what room number they will give us, because numbers/gematria are big in kabbalah.

They gave us room # 248, which i immediately found interesting, because 2x2=4x2=8 / 2x2x2=8. It was the perfect number to describe the "Oneness" of All Things that we had been discussing in our ride.

After we got into the room, dad said he was tired, and was gonna go to sleep, because we had an early morning the next day. I asked him if it would bother him if i left the lamp on my side of the room on so i could continue reading, he said that was fine.

I picked up where i left off, with the corner marked page. The very next page talked about the ancient jewish "mitzvot", i.e "commandments." It specifically mentioned that there were 613 mitzvot. 365 of the mitzvot were "negative commandments" i.e. "Thou Shalt Not"

And then there were the positive mitzvot, the positive commandments, i.e. "Thou Shalt"

And in number, these commandments were 248.

It was this day, this moment, with my earthly father, guided by our heavenly father, where i knew, that there was something to be discerned by me in the kabbalah.

Blessings To All That Quest For Truth.
