1/ I pointed this out in the yesterday's blog. I don't recall ever seeing the maximum of positive polar cap geopotential anomalies successfully complete a "U" shape in the stratosphere before. I know this is complicated but potentially very significant.

The gfs and euro have similar looking storm around the 20th. This will change, but it gives me excitement for what the upcoming weather pattern has to offer after mid month!
