have anons considered alchemy re: the plan?
it has an occult association in more recent history, but in the past it was hugely influential on christian thinking
early thinkers used the concept of the great chain of being to describe reality
a hierarchy with god at the top and various levels of being below including angels, spirits, man, animals, etc
the spiritual work of the alchemist was to perfect nature, to bring it closer into alignment with what is above
that if we could perfect nature we could ascend up the chain and be in harmony with god
later occult interpretations led to modern magic and those systems in turn fed into creation of secret societies
alchemy is supposed to be symbolic and represented at every level of the microcosm and macrocosm (in our minds, in the broader society, in the natural world, etc)
the first two steps of the alchemical process of transmutation are
[calcination] and [dissolution]
