deaths jumped by a couple hundred thousand in last year. probably thanks to suicide, overdose, lack of health care, etc.
not really when you consider that reported flu deaths have disappeared and been labeled covid deaths instead. along side all the other fuckery with covid deaths like car accidents and what not. that would keep the numbers moar consistent. not moar deaths, just different cause. the increase in deaths is a product of the covid response imo.
same on my local police scanner. lots of mental illness, drug addiction, and domestic calls. plus the odd karen call about groups of people being to big or a business being "illegally" open
