I can think of several Circuit judges off the top of my head who would be excellent candidates for a seat on SCOTUS. Young ones like Sutton out of the Sixth Circuit. Another one of Scalia's former clerks.

One thing I've noticed about Clinton appointees is that they're typically extremely arrogant individuals. Once in a while, there'll be a level-headed one but here in Illinois, EVERY fucking district judge is either an Obama or Clinton appointee. The Seventh Circuit has actually removed a senior status (now dead, I believe) Carter appointee from two cases because of his behavior. Their opinions begin at the bottom, with the conclusion, and they work backward.

I prefer someone with experience as a judge. That's one (of MANY) reasons why I opposed Kagan. Sotomayor is just fucking incompetent. She has her fucking Yale diploma but it doesn't mean she knows shit about shit.
