A thought just occurred to me. Not sure when it happened exactly, and too lazy to dig for it now, but wasn't there a pope put in place before the current one, that sort of…disappeared and the current one put in his place? Time frame,against all the other crap we have been learning over the last several years. WHY did someone feel it was necessary to replace a sitting pope? Just tossing it out there, but I have a feeling it's connected somehow.
It begs the question, "WHO is in the darkness?"
That sounds VERY plausible.
