When Q & co. asked us the first time to pray as we are fighting evil, I made a decision to read the bible as I would any other book from first word to last, one chapter after the other. This has been an amazing and enlightening endeavour for me. Certain verses and chapters have become very clear when read as a whole, but then others have become very confusing!
Sermons are usually a chosen set of verses which are preached on Sunday and then discussed at a breadbreaking or bible study during the week. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this, I have realized that there is a wealth of knowledge that is not tapped into since the verses chosen for sermons are usually governed by the theme of the lesson the preacher gives.
Lastly, before this turns into a tome, may I ask you other questions when they arise?
