I think Mr. Corden sums up the feelings of many 'outsiders' (his word), especially the ones who want to immigrate into the US, about what America means to them. Lights and possibilites. Bright lights and limitless potential for personal gain.
I'm a fan of those things also, but, those lights and possibilites exist as the fruits of centuries of individual liberty and property rights. Biblical principles I might add.

''Anyone'' with a pineal gland, frontal lobe and basic education should be certain of at least two things. Firstly, that those rights I listed are self evident, and secondly, that America exists because of them. Just like the bright lights. And the private jets, video cameras, limos, polyester suits, etc, etc, etc.
