And like the pied piper, they led us into a trap where they could act as proxies for a corrupt government to do exactly that which the governing class could only dream of.

Long ago they were warned that they had to take better care of the public [their customers] or their margins of operation would necessarily be narrowed. Learn to self-regulate if you don't want the [legitimate] government to do it for you, I warned. They did not listen.
