Massive Blast at Chinese Battery Factory Caught on Video

One killed and 20 injured in the explosion – the authorities are investigating the incident.

A powerful explosion rocked the city of Ningxiang in China's Hunan province on Thursday.

According to the Daily Mail, the blast occurred at the Brunp Recycling Technology factory, probably "the biggest company in China to recycle scrapped and old lithium-ion batteries," killing one person and injuring 20.

Some 36 fire engines and 288 firefighters were dispatched to the site, eventually controlling the blaze two hours later.

Battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL), which owns Brunp Recycling Technology, expressed "deep regret" over the incident and promised to strengthen security and safety in its wake, the newspaper adds.

Local authorities are reportedly investigating the incident, noting that none of the injured are in a life-threatening condition, while the air quality in the vicinity of the factory was normal.

The unrest at the US Capitol was "against democracy, against the common good", Pope Francis stated, as quoted by Reuters.

"Even in the most developed societies something can go wrong and cause people to oppose their own community – this is against democracy. This needs to be addressed now,” the Pope said in an exclusive interview with Mediaset Canale 5.

The pontiff shared his views on the latest riots in DC.

"I was astonished because they are people so disciplined in democracy," he said.

The full interview with the Pope will be broadcast on Mediaset Canale 5 on Sunday evening and will be followed by the film Call Me Francesco – the Pope of the People.

Welsh Scientists Develop COVID Vaccine “Smart Patch”

Scientists at Wales’ Swansea University have developed a plan to create a “smart patch” that would administer the COVID-19 vaccine while also monitoring its efficacy (and God knows what else).

In a post published by Unilad, the research team said it plans to develop a prototype by the end of March in the hopes that it might pass clinical trials in time to be used before the global vaccination campaign finishes up.

According to the research team, the patch will use microneedles to both administer the coronavirus vaccine and monitor its efficacy for the patient by tracking the body’s immune response. Scientists at Swansea’s IMPACT research center hope to carry out human clinical studies in partnership with Imperial College London with the aim of making the device commercially available within three years.

Here’s how the “patch” (it looks more like a microchip) works:

Using polycarbonate or silicon millimetre-long microneedles, the smart patch can penetrate the skin to administer a vaccine. It can be held in place with a strap or tape for up to 24 hours, during which time it simultaneously measures a patient’s inflammatory response to the vaccination by monitoring biomarkers in the skin.

Once the vaccine has been administered, the device is scanned to produce a data reading that can provide an understanding about the efficacy of the vaccine and the body’s response to it.

The project received funding from the Welsh government. The research team hopes that even after COVID has passed, this microchipping technique could be used to treat other diseases – or maybe even one day it could help to program people to be immune.

Mozilla, the developer of Firefox browser, says “more must be done” to rid cyberspace of President Trump and other bad actors.

Mozilla argues that banning and permanent removal of bad actors is not enough.

Mozilla tweeted out that the unrest at the Capitol was the “culmination of a four-year disinformation campaign orchestrated by the President.”

Mozilla, developer of the Firefox internet browser, has argued that more must be done to keep Donald Trump and other “bad actors” out of cyberspace, prompting many to vow to never use the group’s services again.

In a blog post titled ‘We need more than de-platforming’, the open-source software community said that Twitter’s decision to permanently ban Trump from its platform didn’t go far enough in weeding out “hate” on the internet. While blaming Trump for the “siege and take-over” of the US Capitol on January 6, the non-profit tech group argued that “white supremacy is about more than any one personality.”

“We need solutions that don’t start after untold damage has been done. Changing these dangerous dynamics requires more than just the temporary silencing or permanent removal of bad actors from social media platforms,” Mozilla wrote.

The group proposed a number of measures to help protect the internet from verboten views. Internet ads should list who paid for them, how much they are paying, and who is being targeted, Mozilla said. There should also be “meaningful transparency” of platform algorithms so that people can examine what kind of content is being promoted.

The group also demanded that “tools to amplify factual voices over disinformation” are added to the default settings of internet platforms, and said that independent research must be carried out to determine how social media is affecting society and what can be done to “improve things.”

Twitter Zaps Iranian Supreme Leader Tweets Calling US-UK Vaccines "Untrustworthy"

Amid the continuing major Twitter purge following Trump's being permanently banned also across multiple platforms Friday, the US company is now belatedly taking aim at Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Late Friday Twitter removed Khamenei tweets which called US and UK produced coronavirus vaccines "completely untrustworthy". Twitter said that messages were deemed "misleading". Here's what Khamenei said in the now removed tweets which were posted in multiple languages:

"Importing vaccines made in the US or the UK is prohibited. They’re completely untrustworthy. It’s not unlikely they would want to contaminate other nations," he said. "Given our experience with France’s HIV-tainted blood supplies, French vaccines aren’t trustworthy either."

The timing of the removal, coming the same day Trump's account was deleted, is interesting given it may be part of Twitter's attempt to shield itself from widespread criticism of the selective targeting of Trump and American conservative accounts.

Critics have pointed out that top Iranian officials on Twitter have in the past issued multiple messages which could be clearly interpreted as threats of violence.

Reportedly it was specifically the "contaminate other nations" part of Khamenei's vaccine tweet that triggered the deletion, given the Persian-language message was left standing and it does not contain the phrase.

The provocative message coincided with a televised speech wherein Iranian President Hassan Rouhani appeared to impose a blanket ban on the importing of any vaccines made in the US or UK:

"Foreign companies wanted to give us vaccines so they would be tested on the Iranian people. But the health ministry prevented it," Rouhani said in televised remarks, without naming the companies or giving further details.

"Our people will not be a testing device for vaccine manufacturing companies," he added. "We shall purchase safe foreign vaccines."

The media are already spinning a narrative around the events in Washington DC. One that bears no resemblance to reality, does not hold up to any kind of scrutiny and will have massive, far-reaching consequences for all of us.

They're calling it "one of the darkest days in our nation's history", a day that will "live in infamy". It will likely be memed into a shorthand date - 1/6/21, like 9/11 and 7/7. It will be the day "American democracy was attacked and prevailed", the day the nation nearly fell to "fascists".

It will become just one more grand sweeping illusion upon which the teetering structures of US Imperial power are built.

The story we are being told goes as follows:

Yesterday, as congress was preparing to pass the vote endorsing Joe Biden's election victory, thousands of violent right-wing thugs stormed the Capitol building.

Acting according to Trump's wishes, and with his endorsement, these domestic terrorists overran the police barricades in an attempt to overthrow the senate and preserve Trump's presidency.

Fortunately the police were able to secure the situation, drive the violent rioters out and the democratic process was able to continue.

Not one single part of this story is true:

There was no "storming"

There was no "incitement"

There was no "violence"

And the riot effectively ended Trump's presidency.

As America and the West as a whole struggles to regain its economic and societal foothold through our self-inflicted, perpetual coronavirus crisis, China will round out 2020 with another impressive year of booming growth. China will end the year as the only major power that has seen economic growth in 2020. And Beijing forecasts an astounding 8.4% GDP boost in 2021.

What separates China from the rest of us is simple: China did not buy what it was selling. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) put an end to their internal corona hysteria over 9 months ago, with a simple, sweeping notice. In March, they declared that the situation related to the novel coronavirus in Wuhan was over, along with pretty much the entirety of their epidemic countrywide. The problem had been solved, and that was that. Case closed. No further questions.

Did China at that point recognize that COVID-19 was not worthy of the hype? That much remains very unclear. What we do know, for a fact, is that China flipped the switch on their societal and economic machine back to 100% in March of 2020, and they never looked back. China has been open for business for almost a year, while the West remains at a snail’s pace on the economic productivity front.

China’s external message to the world was very different from their internal communications. Beijing told us, the West, that the coronavirus was a very serious threat, and we should model our response after theirs if we wanted to get the situation under control. For reasons unknown, the vast majority of the West accepted China’s premise and recommendations without hesitation. Throughout the West, we continue to implement these catastrophic, pseudoscientific policies, which are all variations of the infamous Wuhan lockdown. Masks, lockdowns, curfews and the like, the so-called “new science” on COVID-19, all have origin points in China.

Some China hawks in Western society seem to be under the impression that we can just blame China for all of the problems of 2020, because China was responsible for “unleashing” the coronavirus — which, as a reminder, infects people with a disease that has a 99.9% recovery rate — on the world. While that might be true, at some point, we need to take ownership of the present situation.

I understand the CCP’s role in manifesting corona madness more than almost anyone, having been one of the few journalists who has reported extensively on this issue. Yes, China is to blame for allegedly allowing the virus to escape from their laboratories, but China is not to blame for our destructive, continuing response to the virus. But for a select few states, the American worker has been absolutely crushed under the weight of the boot of his own government. There are 30 million small businesses in the United States, and many of them are on their last legs, because of policies that have nothing to do with China, and everything to do with the politicians in this country that have revealed themselves as power-drunk aspiring tyrants.

Bodman, Samuel – Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Release #1 – [47 Pages, 80MB] – Samuel Wright Bodman III (November 26, 1938 – September 7, 2018) was an American politician, who was the 11th United States Secretary of Energy serving during the George W. Bush administration from 2005 to 2009. He was also at different times the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury and the Deputy Secretary of Commerce. In December 2004, Bodman was nominated to replace Spencer Abraham as the Energy Secretary and was confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate on January 31, 2005. During his tenure, he oversaw the security problems at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a budget in excess of $23 billion and over 100,000 federal and contractor employees.

The Final Rockefeller Commission Report, June 1975

Background

The United States President’s Commission on CIA Activities within the United States was set up under President Gerald Ford in 1975 to investigate the activities of the Central Intelligence Agency and other intelligence agencies within the United States. The commission was led by the Vice President, Nelson Rockefeller, and is sometimes referred to as the Rockefeller Commission.

The commission was created in response to a December 1974 report in The New York Times that the CIA had conducted illegal domestic activities, including experiments on U.S. citizens, during the 1960s. The commission issued a single report in 1975, touching upon certain CIA abuses including mail opening and surveillance of domestic dissident groups. It publicized Project MKUltra, a CIA mind control study.

It also studied issues relating to the John F. Kennedy assassination, specifically the head snap as seen in the Zapruder film (first shown on television in 1975), and the possible presence of E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis in Dallas, Texas.

Project Mockingbird / Operation Mockingbird

Background

There have been a lot of rumors and allegations against what “Mockingbird” actually was, but it appears that quite possibly, there were two project names. One has been confirmed while the other remains elusive (if real at all).

Project Mockingbird

PROJECT Mockingbird was a wiretapping operation initiated by President John F. Kennedy to identify the sources of government leaks by eavesdropping on the communications of journalists.

This is the program mentioned in the CIA records below, and The Black Vault also added records from the Gerald Ford Presidential Library on the same.

Operation Mockingbird

OPERATION Mockingbird was a alleged secret campaign by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to influence media. Begun in the 1950s, it was said to be initially organized by Cord Meyer and Allen W. Dulles, it was later led by Frank Wisner after Dulles became the head of the CIA.

The organization recruited leading American journalists into a network to help present the CIA’s views, and funded some student and cultural organizations, and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities by other operating units of the CIA.

This request was originally filed in 2013. However, I believe now not everything was given to me, likely due to the description of records seeking OPERATION Mockingbird vs. PROJECT Mockingbird records. A frustrating aspect to the FOIA, which although I can not confirm that’s what happened – I filed again in December of 2020, and received additional records on PROJECT Mockingbird.
