Anons, I'm no expert at image manipulation, but I think this was an intentionally bad Photoshop job.
There was something on the table. I think they erased it well enough that it's not obvious at a casual glance, but when you zoom in and look closer, it's plain as day. Check the artifacts marked with red arrows… those ain't natural reflections, and that door looks like someone just dragged down with the blur tool.
Might want to start analyzing images in Pompeo tweets for other clues.
