How do I know?
I used to do this for a living.
The shopped section of the table, where the leaf seams fade and the pen tip in the reflection disappears unexpectedly, is covering up something that was on the tabble in the original complete photo.
What's missing is the contract or written agreement.
Pompeo is handing the pen across the table so that the man across from him will sign it.
The third guy at the far side of the table is sitting there as a witness to the signing.
Pompeo is handing the pen and the man across from him is looking down at the shopped section where the contract is, and while it seems that he is reticent to take the pen and sign it, if you ask me, he has already decided he will, in fact, sign.
Contracts or deals like these are made countless times every single day all across the world.
