Next step is apps connecting to Apple being rejected if they're not running on updated OS.
Other way would be to introduce a 'got to have' feature or app that requires the recent updates.
Only way out of this is to make all tech comm services a public utility.
I agree with Dr. Shiva's idea that email should be through the USPS, for example.
As it is now, any business can be blackmailed by locking them down if they don't use a particular service. Tech giants are just monopolies now, and that won't be fixed unless Trump is running things.
