Here's a hint: Marriott does not validate the credit card used to guarantee a reservation, assuming it's not a prepaid reservation.
It would sure be a shame if someone booked up a bunch of rooms at an almost full, corporately owned hotel (don't fuck over the franchise owners) that were secured with, say a visa gift card with a $0.00 balance.
Sure be a shame if Marriott corporate suddenly had to start eating a shit ton of vacancy and was effectively cock-blocked from selling the rooms to someone else who would have actually used them.
I by no means am encouraging this, just remarking on how much of a shame that would be.
