>kek - I don't think I am - I have been working in this field for over 30 years.

>I can read almost all ancient scriptures in the original and could even explain to you what the real Christian faith looks like.

>But the time is not yet ripe for that.

>However, it will not take much longer

It is great that you are well versed in the ancient scriptures. But none of that holds any bearing on history. The church is what the church is warts and all. This idea of being some sort of pure church separate from the catholic church is ridiculous. Because the bible literally comes from the Catholic church. The church is not some sort of static homogenous object through history either. It has moved, nearly died several times, pockets of christianity lived in isolation from other Christians also.

>The reason you call Christians "protestants" is

>because the catholic church told you so.

I call protestants protestants because that's the word used to refer to the churches that started up outside the catholic church during the reformation. Even anglicans are protestants. Please learn church history, it did not start with the founder of your church.

>Ask yourself why the Catholic Church Doesn't have Bibles in their pews, Why are there only hymn books, Why are the same Gospels used over and over again.?

Because the catholic church does not operate like a protestant church. Sunday Mass is used a time to celebrate God, it is not a time for pedagogy. That being said there are bible classes in Catholic churches now. Bibles are accessible and encouraged. It is wonderful how well protestants know their bible, but their knowledge of church history is sorely lacking.

I have met and studied under many protestant professors. Many of them very much enjoy the company of Catholic professors because they can discuss a great variety of subjects. They also admit that ignoring church history is not a good thing, because it leads to many ignorant things happening in their churches.

They have bibles in the churches, and anyone can buy one. No one is being controlled. You need to really check your facts.

Even in the 12th and 13th centuries, before luther and reformation, there hand written gospels chained down in the churches, that were accessible to the people. That is if they could read.
