The content of the communication does not appear to be something a seasoned politician would likely put into a formal letter. Whatever she might be, Pelosi has an instinct for self-preservation. Information like this would be communicated verbally. Even an email would be unlikely.

The mode of address to Wheeler is all wrong. And an aside like “this is political gold” sounds like it was written by a poor salesman with no idea how politics is played. The other similar comments stand out like so many sore thumbs.

In short, nothing about it is convincing. And that’s without considering the paper, layout, and other features of the document.
