Hex codes match tails.
Best way to learn what to watch is to look up the planes. T-38s are fighter trainers. The same for TEX2. BE40s in groups will be heavy aircraft trainers. You can also find some interesting info in call signs used. Check out the pdf in upload, not completely up to date, but can get you started.
Confirmed. Signal from transponders are freaky, though.
