Seeing Pence arrested would be the equivalent of giving up one's queen in sacrifice (re: chess) in order to get your opponent's king, though.

If there is a big first arrest that changes people's minds about everything, I don't see it being on the Left. I see it being on the Right (or RINO), or some neutral/bipartisan individual. Otherwise, it would tear things apart, rather than uniting people. Particularly with the existing media slant to the Left.

If they do something like that, I'm thinking that it'll be a Trojan Horse. Open the door to Leftist perps by prosecuting someone on the Right (or RINO, neutral/bipartisan). The average Leftist will be so thrilled about this and you won't get a lot of traction trying to walk back the prosecution (re: the MSM). So, the prosecution occurs, then it opens the door to Leftists who collaborated with them, then the house of cards comes down. Everyone gets to see that it's us vs. them, not Left vs. Right, etc.

Not much time for it, thoughโ€ฆ

Parler is garbage, in every sense of the word. I don't think it was ever meant to be fully functional, just a place to temporarily corral non-Leftists in order to get info from them (phone #s, names, etc.) and suppress their speech. It failed to really work because of Gab being around. Deplatform Parler and people just move to Gab and others. So, magically, Parler says they'll have their own servers up and running in a day? Riiiightโ€ฆ

Stay far away from Parler. It's a total trap. Reeks of it.

stop trying to redpill ppl

stop trying to collect data

stop trying to demonstrate facts

stop meming

stop barking in digital prattle-field

preach that violence serves the purpose of evil: division and fear

preach that tribalism serves the same

invite people locally by word of mouth

tell them to abandon parties

tell them to give up on a person to save them

tell them to get off social media and turn off the news

tell them to stop youtubing 3rd party Q theorists for hope

tell them to stop coming here too.

step outside, talk to a living person.

tell them "I'm not going to vote red or blue anymore. I'm not going to vote for anyone who's been in office more than 8 years already"

we the people grow the very monsters that we all hate when we fall for the partizan trap: "Vote for our pick or you're just voting in the other party!"

I didn't say that they needed it. Technologically speaking, that's what the platform is geared towards. Aside from working as a temporary corral, until non-Leftists get frustrated with the lack of features and go elsewhere.

At the same time that decentralizing rallies would reduce casualties if bad actors decided to try something illegal, it's hard to argue that people would be safer relying on local police as opposed to Secret Service and others in the capitol to secure the area, particularly in Leftist states.

I'd sooner trust those being given orders by Trump than those being given orders by Whitmer or Cuomo. Just saying.

Any word on WHO is authorized to send such messages? Was looking over the docs on the tech for EBS the other day. Didn't catch anything about who. Just that sometimes it's used regarding weather and emergencies, which made me wonder if others in gov't could send out alerts.
