Brave is based on Chromium, of which Google controls the complete future of. While Brave says they strip some Google trackers out, they fundamentally are reliant on Google and the future of Chromium. You are feeding the Google/Chromium monopoly.
Brave, like Google is an advertising company (granted they do this 'better', but still).
They previously allowed facebook through their 'Brave shield' without notifying people. Huge red flag. Devs had to find it in the code instead of being told by the Brave team.
Brave is notoriously weak at preventing fingerprinting, which is VERY important.
Also, Firefox is a lot more configurable, which is good for advanced users.
I'm sure there's more but that's all I got for ya, for now.
In the near future I feel Dissenter will grow a lot, but as of now it doesn't compete with FF for pure privacy. I will keep testing it every few months and keep up with updates because I believe in the project.
