Anything to the way Pence accepted the State nominations?

If you watched the certification, Pence stated before each slate was handed to him to the lady “can I have the electors for xxx state”. After he was given ONE slate he said “the xxx of the senate gave me a slate for biden…is it authentic…” Bottom line, the xxx of the senate NEVER stated she had two slates, or additional electors. She basically withheld those alternates slates so Pence couldn’t debate them.
