Auburn University student’s deadly fall from 6th-floor balcony ruled suicide
The weekend death of an Auburn University student after what was reported as a fall off a balcony has been deemed a suicide.
Lee County Coroner Bill Harris on Monday said the 20-year-old male, whose name will not be released by his office, died from multiple blunt force internal injuries from an “intentional act and has been ruled a suicide.”
Auburn police received a 911 medical call at 3:55 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Gay Street at the Standard apartment complex near Auburn University’s campus. They arrived to find the 20-year-old unresponsive on the sidewalk. He had fallen from a sixth-floor balcony of the complex.
