If I understand correctly, Texas has a built-in clause uniquely allowing it to secede from the Union. Washington on the other-hand is made up of generations of swamp creatures making it unsuitable place for any gov't trying to right itself from corruption.

What would prevent Texas from offering to be the 1st state of a newly formed nation and would "Alamo" make a good capital or would it be "The Alamo"? Asking for a friend.
