We're essentially facing the American equivalent of the last days of a still technically unified but horribly internally divided Yugoslavia. Did truth matter then? Or did ethnic and ideological conflict matter much more? Did people even give the slightest ounce of a fuck what was technically true? Or did they just want "their side" to win?
If we don't get a handle on this, we're going to make shit like the Bosnian War look like a playdate.
