That reference appeared to be equating the Roman Catholic organization as His Church. It is not. It never was. It was an attempt to retain control of a crumbling empire by re-branding the pantheon already popular in Rome and assigning christian themed names to their gods. The catholic dogma != biblical Gospel. They are incompatible.
