When they want to kill an adult for ritual or fun, they just kidnap a homeless person off the streets. It's easy to offer the homeless food or money or lodging - then kidnap them.

They see the homeless as unproductive members of society - and unloved by anyone - therefore fair game for the murdering. If they do have loved ones, they don't know where the homeless person is, and certainly don't know when they disappear.

San Francisco is where most homeless end up (go west my child, and all will be better…until you get to the ocean and life still sucks and you literally have a mental breakdown). Cults have been preying on these people since the Moonies offered them free meals to be carted up to their re-education camp in Boonville.
