Rob Kane, aged 53 (R). CT State Auditor, former CT State Senator for the 32nd District between 2009 and 2017. A few interesting things jump out about this one:

  • former Sen Kane is credited nationally with the passage of Connecticut's "Safe Harbor for Exploited Children Act" of 2010, a law which which aimed to protect minors who have been victims of human trafficking, as well as increase penalties for adult traffickers, Sen Kane's original proposed legislation went farther than the finished product did!

  • former State Sen Kane and his ex-wife (divorced in 2016) both adopted two infant children from South Korea

  • Kane previously represented CT's 32nd State Senatorial District (3 and 2, of course, are notorious Yale Skull & Bones numbers. That particular detail may or may not be important.)

  • in 2016, Sen Kane became an outspoken Trump supporter

  • Kane stepped down from the State Senate in 2017 alongside a Democrat, together they ensured that the makeup of the CT State Senate went from 18-18 R & D to 17-17……in the year 2017!
