Here's some real advice: You are the plan. Start recognizing the real rules of the game being played and do it better than your opponents. What you could do is work to ensure that red areas are at least as rigged in YOUR favor as blue areas are in theirs. That means red counties should be returning 100% votes for conservatives with actual balls, and yes the local county graveyard should be showing up for the vote too. It is your adversary that gets to set the rules of engagement, not you.
Hell no, it's just the start. But the right keeps sabotaging itself with an inane commitment to a set of rules that they have to follow but the left does not. For the right to win, first that stupid mentality must be broken.
America's founding fathers didn't fuck about like you lot have done. They picked up their guns and shot British brains out till the survivors gave up and ran home. Again: the founding fathers just killed all their opponents until there were none left and they were in charge of America. That is how America was built. But forget about that, so far the right hasn't even been able to match the left's will to power. If anything is to change THAT is what needs to be fixed FIRST.
You don't get it. An election is a stand-in for civil war. The point is to have both candidates bring out as many voters as possible. If one candidate brings in more votes, we assume this also means he could get more people to pick up guns and fight for him. So, the other guy gracefully concedes, since he has less militiamen and would lose an open conflict. It's a very civilized system.
It breaks down completely when the the vote detaches from actual potential soldier counts. Do you know why voting was limited to only land-owning men? Women weren't ever considered to be valid potential soldiers, and a man who owned no land had no ties to the country and would bugger off elsewhere in the event of civil war. Again, the election is measuring combat strength. Here, the left was able to rally more people to more forcefully take over counting rooms and rig the result, so quite frankly they deserved to win. The left had the bigger effective army. The way to change this is for the right to start using force (not violence) to push into the left's territory and outdo their efforts on a level playing field. It doesn't have to mean counter-rigging elections, but it has to be some sort of equivalent application of force.
