Cheetos. Reporting in.
I changed VPN locations last bread and didn't have to fill a captcha and didn't get an ID change.
It's not VPN related at least this time, at least on my end.
The only thing we have in common so far is an edited hosts file.

chek'd
I have not been using VPN
I use OpenDNS (sounds like you use some other DNS?)
But, we both have an edited "hosts" file
is it that simple anon?
^^okay faggot, report in^^
VPN = Yes/No?
OpenDNS = Yes/No?
Modified "hosts" file = Yes/No?
>The only thing we have in common so far is an edited hosts file.
this is what I have added to my hosts file
-do you have the exact same addresses in your hosts file?
94.103.82.74 8kun.top sys.8kun.top media.8kun.top
94.103.82.74 sys.8kun.top
94.103.82.74 media.8kun.top

kek I posted >>12512334
VPN? yes
OpenDNS? no
Mod'd hosts file? yes
Same as last bread.
kek
I'll help however I can.
If I check my DNS servers, how would I know if it's a Google one or not?
yep. same cheetos
>If I check my DNS servers, how would I know if it's a Google one or not?
Google Public DNS IP addresses
The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
and thenโฆ
OpenDNS IP Routing Address's
PRIMARY: 208.67.222.222
SECONDARY: 208.67.220.220
I am running OpenDNS
so if you are ALSO running OpenDNS
then that could POSSIBLE be it
also
what do you have in your hosts file?
-this is what I added to mine:
94.103.82.74 8kun.top sys.8kun.top media.8kun.top
94.103.82.74 sys.8kun.top
94.103.82.74 media.8kun.top
>Tank girl is a thing?
>awesome!
I have always had a thing for Tank Girl anon
props for the posting
>yep. same cheetos
aha
so is it as simple as that?
if we share the same IP addresses in our hosts file, then we will share a UserID in every single bread?
and same with any other anon that uses those addresses?
Red Flag Laws, another red flag
I'm using my phone as a wifi hotspot, and when I look at the DNS address, it looks a lot like a router address.
There are 3 DNS addresses, and the other 2 have letters and colons in them
If this is the case, then if I delete the 8kun entries from my host file, I should get a new ID.
I 'm gonna try it and see if it works.
>and the other 2 have letters and colons in them
The Google Public DNSIPv6addresses are as follows:
2001:4860:4860::8888
2001:4860:4860::8844
You motherfuckers are so clever. tor is like 1993 and no pictures!!!!
>testing my cheetos after deleting the 8kun hosts entries
hey hey
look at that
>f06a46 (1)
>testing my cheetos after deleting the 8kun hosts entries
so then
its confirmed
placing 8kun.top IP addresses in your hosts file can fuck with UserID assignments
leading to multiple users having the same UserID (presuming both users have the same IP address in their hosts file)
>Sounds to me that we have a solution for emergencies, but it shouldn't be used for casual use in case someone wants to abuse IDs somehow like you were mentioning before
agreed
removing the entries from my hosts file now
nice namefaggotry, namefag
>No, anon. This is so your computer knows where to find 8kun.top - you still access from your own ip.
anon, follow the conversation thread before you reply
you are in fact incorrect
me and this other anon have had the exact same user ID as one another for 3 breads now
clearnet, NOT ON TOR
it has been diagnosed as our sharing the same IP addresses in our hosts files
it happened 3 breads in a row anon
and then we remove the IP address from the hosts file
and boom, we no longer share a User ID
>And no, mine did not read anything close to those or the OpenDNS ones you listed before.
5:5
it was absolutely the hosts file address
NOT the DNS
