A relatively weak source, honestly. It would be nice if it was true. That being said - an anonymous source is what it is, and the description of the conversation seems to have words added for the reader's benefit.

Well, yes - I would say it is a Constitutional issue and it needs an amendment.

But it should be obvious by now that we don't have a Constitutional government. We have an oligarchy which pretends to be constitutional only when it benefits it to be.

Pretty much. Congress must propose the amendment and the states ratify it.

There is also a constitutional convention of the states provision outlined, but never used.

There is precedent that state secrets can be withheld from officials. Although there is a bit of a problem as the office of the President is where the power to hold those secrets comes from.

The power to classify comes from the Presidency.

So… What happens if you have someone who would fail security checks for foreign agents elected to the office?

In a sane world, he wouldn't be able to run in the first place… Although this creates a question of whether or not the military should 'get involved with politics' - and arguably the fact we are dealing with what we have also means that no one fucking cares about security at those levels and they will just sweep the whole thing under the rug like it never happened.

So, in theory, yes, this presents an interesting problem.

In practice - it would require a government concerned with law and due process for it to be a problem, and we don't have that so it won't matter.

I certainly hope you are right, anon.

I know quite a few in the military who are not at all pleased with what is unfolding - however, I can also say that the machine does hold power.

How much… I suppose we will find out.

I have pointed out before that POTUS is a position, not a person.

Again, we shall see what happens. We at least have a decent approximation of the entrenchment.

Only 2000 years?

Anon… With the tech monopoly they are planning to cram over the top of society, the planned destruction of the biosphere….

I honestly don't see how we could possibly recover. Obedience will be medicated and bred into our being far more so than it is now. There will be no revolution in the future.

I suppose through god all things are possible and all that fun stuff - but may as well create new humans somewhere else.as this batch will be permanently fucked.
