🚨🚨Findings of Misconduct by an FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge for Engaging in Unwanted Physical Sexual Contact with Three FBI Employees, Making Offensive Sexual Comments to FBI Employees, and Consuming Alcohol and Providing Alcohol to Subordinates and Visitors in a Federal Building While on Duty🚨🚨

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated this investigation after receiving information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alleging that an Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) engaged in unwanted physical sexual contact with another FBI employee at an after-hours FBI social function.

The OIG investigation substantiated the allegation that the FBI ASAC engaged in unwanted physical sexual contact with the FBI employee. The OIG investigation also found that the FBI ASAC had previously engaged in unwanted physical sexual contact with two other FBI employees, created a hostile work environment by engaging in that unwanted physical sexual contact and making offensive sexual comments to FBI employees, and consumed alcohol and provided alcohol to subordinates and visitors in a federal building while on duty. The OIG concluded that the FBI ASAC’s conduct violated DOJ’s zero tolerance policy regarding sexual harassment and FBI policies regarding harassment and employee conduct.

Federal and state prosecution of the FBI ASAC was declined.

The OIG has completed its investigation and provided its report to the FBI for appropriate action.
