AFAIK, he can still run again if impeached & convicted.
Only other thing is pols just trying to get camera time to avoid scrutiny. Front running any evidence Jan 6 was planned. If there's evidence Pelosi planned it she can claim diversion/obstruction on Trump's part.
May also be military action in the pipe and dems want a wag the dog campaign on it 24/7.

Pols threw the remaining shards of their credibility out the window trying to get Trump. Not the time to do it with so many peeps hurting. Only reasonable conclusion is that the Covid shit was a mechanism to get Trump out, but his support was so strong the pols had to rresort to wildly overboard juju to drag it over the finish line.
