I think the eye of Ra effect (1 droopier eye) has to do with the toll that programming takes on the brain. It seems more pronounced in those who are older, than younger, and it would make sense that sometimes its the right/left eye depending on people's individual physiology.

Kinda like how those who have a stroke sometimes have issues moving one side of their face, except obviously not that severe.
