I was wondering if someone could help me out.

I always say I am a Christian, and I did read the Bible.

I gotta say though

I was just informed by a socialist that Christianity forbids eating pork and shellfish.

I didn't realize that.

I gotta give up bacon or what?

Can someone tell me why they do or don't follow this practice.
