Clowns have had their hooks in Iran probably since they overthrew Prime Minister Mossadegh in 1953 for the oil and likely also as part of political maneuvering.
Also, the embassy hostage happening looks shady to me, like more Clowns behind the curtain. I don't think people suddenly started wheeling and dealing with the October Surprise.
