The battle of the Alamo was a sad loss for the Texans. The immortal 32 were patriots who answered the call for reinforcements when no one else did. These brave men and boys traveled to the Alamo while it was under siege, to what they knew was likely certain death in the fight for liberty.

Their bravery and death was not in vain, as remember the Alamo became a rallying cry, and soon led to victory in San Jacinto and to the new Nation of Texas.
