I don't know. It's obviously never been brought up. These foreign mining companies pay a ridiculously low price (in New Mexico in 1986 it was something like $1 per acre) to mine our land for minerals. This includes gold & uranium. The Mining Law of 1872 has been f'king us up the ass for a long time. I lived in NM for years. I have seen the damage that these companies leave behind. All the "restoration" agreements in the world will never undo the damage to our land, people, water, etc.
