How does one effectively get called a "racist, homophobe bigot " yet still cast a vote for Dr Ben Carson in the republican primary ?

I have no Trump gear or MAGA hat, never attended a rally though I did send $5 to the campaign early on. But over time I could nothing happening. 1st impeachment was a distraction to cover what really wa happening.
