The infiltration into the medical model is absolutely nuts. My second go around was in a more alternative health field - the dirty tentacles of the medical model became glaringly apparent. The power of the federal govt and licensing orgs to control the schools, what they teach, how they teach and the “type” of doctor they produce is almost in your face. I saw charity cases taking out thousands upon thousands of student debt, a candidate for a doctorate that should’ve never been there.
When you say that it all needs to come down, this is not an underestimation. We need to refocus schooling on the development of natural strengths and talents, and to make the educational experience about the student rather than an ancient money leeching institution.
