Big Business: Joe Biden’s Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Is a Legislative Priority

The big business lobby is cheerleading President-elect Joe Biden’s massive amnesty plan for the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States, calling the initiative one of their many “priorities.”

Biden floated the amnesty plan with a number of open borders and business lobbying groups during a meeting this week. Some executives with the groups are calling the amnesty “the most aggressive” plan they have seen while working on Capitol Hill, suggesting it includes not only legislation, but executive orders to legalize most of the illegal alien population.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which represents corporate interests, tells Axios the amnesty plan is among the many priorities they want from the Biden administration.

Axios reports:

Suzanne Clark, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, told me that the #1 desire she hears from members, including small businesses, is “more responsible adults in the room governing.”

Clark said key parts of the early Biden agenda — pandemic relief, vaccines, infrastructure, trade, immigration, workforce — “are all business priorities.”

The statement mimics that of the Chamber’s CEO Thomas Donohue, who said this week he is interested in working with Biden to not only provide amnesty to illegal aliens, but to expand the number of legal immigrants admitted to the U.S. every year.

Annually, more than 1.2 million legal immigrants are awarded green cards, and another 1.4 million foreign nationals are given visas. These totals are in addition to the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who are added to the U.S. population every year.

Such an amnesty would be a boon to the corporate interests that the Chamber represents as the business lobby, Wall Street investors, and Big Tech seek to slash wages and widen profit margins by inflating the U.S. labor market with millions of foreign competitors to working and middle class Americans.

NumbersUSA, which advocates on behalf of American workers, said the fact that U.S. wages are “finally rising after decades of stagnation and real wage decreases in many manual labor jobs” is “exactly why Joe Biden is intent on flooding [the] labor market with foreign workers”:

Today, 18 million Americans are jobless, and another 6.2 million are underemployed, all of whom want full-time jobs with competitive wages and good benefits. Their chances of securing higher wages and more job opportunities are crushed by the mass inflow of illegal and legal immigration.

One particular study by the Center for Immigration Studies’ Steven Camarota revealed that for every one percent increase in the immigrant portion of American workers’ occupation, their weekly wages are cut by perhaps 0.5 percent. This means the average native-born American worker today has his weekly wages reduced by potentially 8.75 percent because more than 17 percent of the workforce is foreign-born.

Biden’s amnesty plan would need to garner support from a handful of 28 House Democrats who barely won their seats in the 2020 election and who will be up for reelection again in 2022. Those Democrats include Reps. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ), Lauren Underwood (D-IL), Cindy Axne (D-IA), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Angie Craig (D-MN), and Conor Lamb (D-PA).

Chamber of Commerce Lobbies Joe Biden: Return U.S. to Free Trade Consensus

The United States Chamber of Commerce is lobbying for a return to the job-killing free trade consensus that has governed the Washington, DC, political establishments for three decades as the group seeks to cozy up to the incoming Biden administration.

At an annual speaking engagement, Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas Donohue lobbied for a return to the free trade consensus that was stopped dead in its tracks by President Trump’s economic nationalist agenda — which included regularly imposing tariffs on foreign imports and pressuring multinational corporations to reshore their manufacturing base back to the U.S.

Donohue said the U.S. “in recent years our resilience has been tested through trade wars and tariffs” while calling for the elimination of Trump’s tariffs and a reengagement with global organizations like the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The statements come as the Chamber of Commerce seeks a friendly relationship with the incoming Biden administration. Most recently, the group endorsed President-elect Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion Chinese coronavirus relief package, which does not include $2,000 stimulus checks for each American — as Trump had wanted — but instead offers $1,400 checks.

“We look forward to working with the new administration and Congress on the details and in ensuring that any additional economic assistance is timely, targeted, and temporary,” Chamber of Commerce executives said in a statement.

The Chamber of Commerce is also wanting to help Biden with expanding legal immigration levels beyond their already historical high where more than 1.2 million legal immigrants are given green cards every year and another 1.4 million foreign workers are awarded visas annually.

“We fought vigorously and successfully against actions by the Trump administration to severely limit legal immigration, and we will work cooperatively with the Biden administration to reform our immigration system to meet the needs of our modern economy,” Donohue said.

Their free trade lobbying efforts may hit a wall as incoming United States Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tai, supported by outgoing USTR Robert Lighthizer, has suggested that she will seek a trade agenda in tune with Trump’s focus on American workers, U.S. wages, and enforcement.

Tai, though, is likewise expected to be met with obstacles as Biden stacks his administration with Washington, DC, insiders, corporate allies, and Wall Street alumni, all of which tend to unanimously back a globalist free trade agenda that widens profit margins for businesses while crushing job prospects for Americans.

Since 2001, U.S. free trade with China has eliminated at least 3.4 million American jobs. In 1985, before China entered the WTO, the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled $6 billion. In 2019, the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled more than $345 billion.

American manufacturing is vital to the U.S. economy, as every one manufacturing job supports an additional 7.4 American jobs in other industries.

Joe Biden’s Secretary of State Pick Praised Merkel’s Open Borders Policy

President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the State Department, Antony Blinken, previously praised German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open borders policy that has invited more than a million refugees to the European superpower.

While serving in the Obama administration as deputy secretary of state, Blinken delivered a speech in New York City in September 2016 where he applauded Merkel for her opening Germany’s borders to hundreds of thousands of refugees at the time even as the burden fell on German taxpayers.

At the same time, Blinken made a veiled attack on U.S. and European opponents to mass global migration — such as President Trump, France’s Marine Le Pen, Britain’s Nigel Farage, and Italy’s Matteo Salvini — by suggesting that they were “stoking fear and demanding walls.”

Blinken said:

In Europe, the crisis is literally at the doorstep of cities, towns across the continent, and I think what we’ve seen exposed in part is a profound lack of self-confidence that’s precipitated a painful search for identity. On both continents, some have reacted by stoking fear and demanding walls, while others have taken a firm stand against hate and bigotry. [Emphasis added]

One of the brightest lights of all in Europe, Chancellor Merkel, has refused to cave to these undercurrents, despite the political cost. Instead, she has firmly upheld our common values of tolerance and openness — values that ushered in the unprecedented era of peace, prosperity, and progress that overall, overall our world enjoys. [Emphasis added]

To date, Merkel has invited about 1.1 million refugees to Germany since the beginning of the refugee crisis. Today, partially thanks to Merkel’s open borders policy, there are more than 21 million residents of Germany who have a “migrant background” — over a quarter of the nation’s population.

Blinken thanked New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan for “championing diversity” by inviting mass migration to their cities in the middle of the refugee crisis.

Refugees in Paris and London have been responsible for a number of deadly terrorist attacks. Still, Blinken said “entering the U.S. as a refugee is the absolute worst strategy for someone to pursue who wants to do damage to the United States.” Between 2001 to 2014, though, 380 of the 580 terrorists who have been convicted in the U.S. have been foreign-born residents.

Also, Blinken said in the speech that he was “committed to growing” the refugee population in the U.S. despite unprecedented levels of refugee resettlement under the Obama administration.

The speech gives insight into Blinken’s potential role as Biden’s secretary of state when it comes to inflating the refugee resettlement program, which Trump has reduced by 80 percent, sought to allow localities to decide whether or not they want to accept refugees, and has halted the program altogether during the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

Biden has said he will restart the program and immediately increase resettlement by 700 percent, setting the annual cap at 125,000, with plans to raise that cap every year for at least four years. Blinken, as secretary of state, would help implement this drastic influx.

Over the last 19 years, more than 985,000 refugees have been admitted to the U.S. This is a number more than double that of residents living in Miami, Florida, and would be the equivalent of adding the population of Pensacola, Florida, to the country every year.

Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years, according to the latest research. Over the course of five years, an estimated 16 percent of all refugees admitted will need housing assistance paid for by taxpayers.

Joe Biden: The 'Contra Trump' Airbrushes Operation Warp Speed Away

A good, old fashioned communist purge is underway in Washington as the erasure of Donald Trump begins.

Anyone and everyone who had anything to do with Trump is being canceled, fired, and shamed. Trump employees are unable to get another job. Saying you worked for Trump is like the kiss of death and leads to ostracization and termination.

I suppose it could be worse. There could be real communists in charge and most of these poor souls would find themselves dead of a heart attack or a victim of a car crash. Nothing quite so gauche as a public execution. “These things must be done delicately,” to quote the Wicked Witch of the West. But perhaps when all is said and done, it doesn’t matter how it’s done. Your life is ruined anyway.

The left is setting a dangerous precedent by canceling anyone who had anything to do with Trump. And the scrubbing of Trump from government, removing all references to him, or anything that reminds the public of Trump is equally fraught.

The latest example is the incoming Biden administration changing the name of the successful effort to develop a vaccine. Operation Warp Speed makes people think of Trump, so it’s got to go.

The “Operation Warp Speed” name will be retired, incoming White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted on Friday. She said there was an “urgent need to address the failures of the Trump team approach to vaccine distribution.” Psaki did not say what the new name will be.

Psaki added that many of the same civil servants will be involved in the response, but the structure will be changed.

The “structure” refers to changing nameplates on office doors. There is no reason to change the name of the most successful collaboration between science and government since the Apollo program. Operation Warp Speed delivered a scientific miracle in creating several vaccines against the coronavirus in a matter of months, not years as with every other vaccine.

You have to wonder if a Democrat had been in office if they could have achieved the same results. Democrats certainly wouldn’t have worked so closely with corporations and would have insisted on a competitive bidding process that would have taken months. Then there would have been delays making sure all the companies involved were woke and had proper sexual harassment procedures in place. Their workforce would have had to be carefully balanced in race, gender, and sexual orientation, and their bathrooms would have had to be open to anyone.

But Biden doesn’t just want to scrub Trump from history. He needs to be the “Contra Trump.” Anything Trump accomplished, he must do the opposite. Every Trump policy must not only be reversed but buried as well.

There’s a practical political consideration involved. Anything Biden does that reminds his rabid supporters of Donald Trump, they will fall on him like a ton of bricks and never let him hear the end of it. It will be a large part of the radical left’s effort to keep Biden in line — especially in the first months he’s in office.

Donald Trump is about to be erased and would be forgotten if stories and commentary on him didn’t sell so many newspapers and grab a ton of eyeballs for TV. You’d expect historians to demand Trump’s name be stricken from the history books and the previous four years of history be blacklisted.

But don’t worry. Even the victims of a communist purge could be “rehabilitated” and brought back from the dead. Eventually, America will come to terms with Trump’s legacy. Democrats, however, never will.

US Capitol Police Reportedly Arrest Armed Man Using 'Fake Credentials' to Enter Checkpoint

As President-elect Joe Biden is set to be inaugurated on 20 January next week, the United States capital remains on a high alert following the deadly 6 January Capitol Hill riot. Thousands of National Guard personnel have been deployed to aid local police in protecting the area.

A Virginia man who attempted to pass through a police checkpoint in downtown Washington DC on Friday using fake inaugural credentials has been arrested by US Capitol law enforcement, CNN reported on Saturday.

He was also reportedly in possession of a loaded handgun and over 500 rounds of ammunition, a police report and a law enforcement source told CNN.

Around 6:30 p.m, Wesley Allen Beeler arrived outside a police vehicle checkpoint in his pick-up truck at North Capitol and E Street NE, just north of the Capitol building, according to CNN citing an unnamed source.

​Beeler, from Front Royal, Virginia, showed officers at the checkpoint an unauthorized inauguration credential. According to the source, police inquired if Beeler was carrying any weapons, who then informed them of the Glock semi-automatic pistol he was carrying in the center armrest of his vehicle.

The handgun was reportedly loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition as well as a round positioned within the chamber, ready for use. According to an incident report provided by the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department, law enforcement retrieved the pistol and 509 rounds of ammunition, shotgun shells, as well as an additional handgun magazine.

This comes as the capital is currently on high alert in the run-up to the 20 January inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy has authorized up 21,000 National Guard troops to be deployed from around the US to aid law enforcement with security.

“Right now, we have approximately 7,000 National Guard soldiers and airmen on the ground in support of the lead federal agency, and we are building to 21,000 for the upcoming inauguration”, said Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson, chief of the National Guard Bureau during an inauguration security briefing with Vice President Mike Pence.

The US Department of Defense at the same time on Friday issued a press release saying that they had given permission for an additional 25,000 "service members to support the Presidential Inauguration National Special Security Event federal law enforcement mission and security preparations, as led by the US Secret Service".

​On 12 January, National Guard personnel were permitted to be armed and were also authorized for the use of deadly force in their support of US Capitol Police in their protection of the Capitol on 20 January, lawmakers, and staff, a bureau media release confirms.

This follows the violent 6 January storming of the Capitol building by supporters of President Trump that saw people five people killed in a failed attempt to overturn the November election result and to stop Congress from formally confirming the Electoral College vote certifying Joe Biden as the new US president.
