FOX News Reportedly Considering Hiring Brother Of Former Obama Adviser As New CEO In Last-Ditch Effort

Ever since election night in 2020, the ratings at FOX News have been in free-fall. Millions of loyal fans felt betrayed when the network called Arizona early for Biden while holding off calling other obvious wins for Trump.

Now they are considering firing their current CEO, instead of people like Chris Wallace and Juan Williams.

The stunning thing about this is that they are reportedly considering hiring David Rhodes, the brother of former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes, as their new chief.

How is this supposed to bring their fans back? If anything, this would make matters even worse…

North Dakota Republicans Introduce Bill to Allows Users to Sue Big Tech Over Censorship in State

Big tech companies, including Twitter and Facebook, have recently banned or restricted for post violations the accounts of Donald Trump, other conservatives and many Trump supporters. These bans have inspired state GOP lawmakers to seek help for those claiming to have had their "speech is restricted, censored, or suppressed".

On January 16, Republican North Dakota State Rep. Tom Kading spoke on the Fox & Friends cable show detailing a bill that would allow users in his home state to sue social media outlets over certain issues. The lead sponsor of the bill stated his increasing disappointment in big tech since he drafted the bill in December 2020.

The Pentagon Speaks

The Joint Chiefs of Staff have spoken. Issuing a remarkable memorandum to all members of the Armed Forces, the JCS have declared that Joe Biden will be the new president of the United States. The memo may have been not only one to military personnel but also to President Trump: No matter how convinced you are that the election was stolen from you, don’t even think about remaining in power because we will ensure your forcible exit from the White House.

Unfortunately, relatively few people, including libertarians, comprehend that the Pentagon, along with the CIA and the NSA and, to a certain extent, the FBI, are the part of the federal government in which ultimate power is being wielded. They are the ones who are ruling the roost in America. That’s why that memo is so important. It’s declaring how things will bel.

This overwhelming power is usually exercised behind the scenes in order to make Americans feel comfortable that their government is different from other national-security governments. While the national-security branch of the government is driving the overall direction America will take, especially with respect to foreign affairs, it permits the other three branches to maintain the appearance of power. The idea is to convince Americans that the federal government operates the same as a national-security state as it did when it was a limited-government republic.

US Airstrike Kills al-Shabaab Extremist Leader in Somalia

The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) is keeping the pressure on the terrorist group al-Shabaab in Somalia despite the redeployment of troops from Somalia to other countries in East Africa.

AFRICOM conducted another airstrike against the group on Wednesday, striking a compound in the vicinity of Buulo Fulaay in southern Somalia killing one of the group’s members.

In a released statement, AFRICOM said that according to its initial assessment no civilians were injured or killed as a result of the operation.

“This strike in Buulo Fulaay combined with recent strikes, shows our resolve and degrades al-Shabaab’s ability to threaten Somalia and its neighbors,” said U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Dagvin Anderson, Joint Task Force – Quartz commander. “Side by side with our partners, we plan to leave no safe place for al-Shabaab to hide.”

This was the third time this month that AFRICOM has hit al-Shabaab in Somalia with airstrikes. On January 1, the command conducted two drone strikes that targeted al-Shabaab compounds near Qunyo Barrow. The drone strikes killed three and wounded one al-Shabaab member; they destroyed six and damaged one al-Shabaab compound buildings.

Feds indict 14 MS-13 gang leaders on terrorism charges

More than a dozen top members of the international MS-13 gang were indicted on terrorism charges Thursday in the highest-reaching takedown of the group ever in the United States, according to federal prosecutors.

The sweeping case targets 14 members of the “Ranfla Nacional,” the upper echelon of MS-13 leadership that operates mostly out of prisons in El Salvador, according to prosecutors. Eleven of the indicted men are currently incarcerated in El Salvador, while three are on the loose.

“We have charged MS-13s highest-ranking leaders with operating a transnational criminal organization that utilizes terror to impose their will on neighborhoods, businesses and innocent civilians across the United States and Central America,” said U.S. Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen.
