Re the water issues in Cali. I live in North Cali. Close to where the 1M acre fire was that started in August last year. We had to evacuate. I was gone for 1 month and almost 3 weeks. We kept getting reports that the firemen were not going to be able to contain the fire due to 1) weather and 2) not enough firemen and crew. They were just going to let it burn. I remember getting reports that it would likely continue burning until Dec.!! I finally got back home, almost had to sneak back in through some back roads, at about the middle of Nov. We have a huge lake that end just about where I live. When I got back I was appalled. I couldn't believe how low it was. Almost all the water was gone. We in town were all talking about it. People were saying they must have used it on the fire. But there were no heli's flying to dump water on the fire due to the huge amount of smoke in the air it was too dangerous to fly. So what happened to all of our water??

Then I heard reports that our rivers and lake water were now poisoned due to the fires. What the HELL!!!! What the hell did they do to us??? What were these fires really all about? I thought it was just to get more federal funding. CA lost over 4 million acres last year!!

IRS has moved the start of tax season from 1/31 to 2/12. Never heard of them doing before ever and I used to do tax returns starting in '84. Tax season usually starts on 1/1 for CPA firms. However, all W-2's and 1099's etc are due at the latest by 1/31st. So that's when tax season officially starts, as soon as you get your W-2 (for most people) you can file.

This year for the first time ever they're moving it forward a couple of weeks. Their excuse is due to all the tax changes late in the year. That is bs because that happens almost every year.

My take is something is going to happen re the Fed and the IRS. Perhaps no more taxes. Esp. if we do away with the central banks.

Probably mostly bought out by the state, chinese investors, other millionaires.

Who knows! The problem becomes all the environmental cleanup that has to be done afterwards that most people can't afford, so they have to sell dirt cheap.

What happened to us is the insurance companies started dropping our policies left and right, during the fires!! I couldn't believe it. Didn't matter that you'd paid your premiums, they just sent you a letter saying your policy has been cancelled. I had to pay up the butt for a policy while the fires were still going on. Now they're saying they will not renew next year. So those of us that were lucky and our houses didn't burn are now stuck in an area where our property values plummeted and we can't insure our homes next year. If we sell we lose our shirts, if we don't we risk another fire next year without insurance. Fucked us over they did!
