Arizona 12 News retweets tweet attributing ‘America First’ slogan to Nazi sympathizers

Arizona 12 News retweeted a tweet written by one of its producers yesterday attributing the slogan “America First,” popularized by President Donald Trump and his nationalist platform, to Nazi sympathizers and antisemites.

The tweet was posted by Hunter Bassler, producer and digital reporter for the local NBC-affiliate outlet.

“The Republican Party of Arizona again shares the ‘America First’ slogan, which was first popularized by antisemitic and Nazi sympathizer Americans in the 1930s,” Bassler tweeted Saturday morning.

After the Arizona Republican Party responded to his comments, Bassler took the tweet down with a half-apology.

The more concerning aspect, however, is that 12 News retweeted his inflammatory tweet.

There has been no post made by the news organization commenting on their decision to share the producer’s remarks.

Apparently to some in the Arizona news business, desiring higher wages, secure borders, better roads, safer neighborhoods, fairer trade deals, and less war means one sympathizes with Nazis. Sounds like they need a history class.

Why hasn’t Jack Dorsey been arrested for lying under oath about Twitter’s censorship policies?

The latest Project Veritas bombshell exposes Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey as a lying traitor who, contrary to what he told Congress under oath, is actively censoring conservatives on his tyrannical platform.

A Twitter insider recorded Dorsey admitting recently that while the company is currently “focused on one account,” referring to President Donald Trump’s, “this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and go on beyond the inauguration.”

“So, the focus is certainly on this account [@realDonaldTrump] and how it ties to real world violence. But also, we need to think much longer term around how these dynamics play out over time. I don’t believe this is going away any time soon.”

Dorsey added during the exchange that the country is “extremely divided,” and that this is apparent “every single day” on the Twitter platform.

Back in the fall, Dorsey testified under oath before the Senate Commerce Committee that his platform does not censor content.

“Anyone can tweet these articles,” Dorsey said about the “Huntergate” bombshells from the New York Post that exposed Joe Biden’s son as a criminal pervert who colluded with communist China and capitalized on his father’s influence as the former vice president.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) quickly challenged this lie, noting that he was unable to share the story to his Twitter account even after Dorsey made these false statements.

Since Dorsey was under oath at the time, it is now confirmed that he committed perjury, which is a serious crime. Will he ever be held accountable?

“18 USC 1621 makes it a felony to lie under oath to the Senate,” Cruz later tweeted, urging the public and his colleagues to pursue justice in the matter.

Nothing has been done thus far, of course, and Twitter has only continued its censorship spree, both in targeting of President Donald Trump and his supporters and in doing the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by propagating lies about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to Twitter, communist China is in no way responsible for unleashing the China virus, which can only be “cured” through mask wearing and mass vaccination.

Other content that Twitter employees disagree with is routinely banned using the excuse that it violates the platform’s “terms of service,” even when similar content from a different political perspective is allowed to be posted and shared.

The promotion of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa terrorism, for instance, has never once been pulled from Twitter, despite President Trump’s account being permanently “suspended” for supposedly “promoting violence.”

Selective enforcement of the “rules” is censorship, plain and simple, and this is what Twitter does all the time to elevate leftist viewpoints while suppressing conservative ones.

The Federalist‘s Ben Domenech noted in a piece he wrote that Twitter failed to take action against user posts that overtly threatened Meghan McCain, his wife, with violence.

Newsom faces recall, dwindling Dem bench

Republicans and activists say their recall effort against Gov. Gavin Newsom (D., Calif.) is aimed at protecting the rest of the country from the failed policies of California Democrats.

More than 1.1. million Californians have signed the recall petition, rapidly approaching the 1.9 million necessary to force an election. The activists hope that an additional batch of 1.5 million mailed petitions can push the number over the edge. State assemblyman Kevin Kiley (R.) told the Washington Free Beacon that the campaign will challenge the growing influence California Democrats wield over the national political conversation—from coronavirus lockdowns to economic and environmental policies that reward big tech while hurting small businesses.

"Part of our responsibility in California is to warn the rest of the country," Kiley said. "The same failures that have led Gavin Newsom to do so much harm, we can't let that spread to the rest of the country."

Newsom has boosted his national star on late night television and in national media profiles. Even as the governor has wooed national Democrats, though, he has seen close allies leave for Washington, D.C. President-elect Joe Biden tapped current California attorney general Xavier Becerra (D.) to join his cabinet as the secretary of health and human services. Newsom appointed longtime associate and California secretary of state Alex Padilla (D.) to replace Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in the Senate.

Anne Dunsmore, a political strategist and campaign manager for the pro-recall group Rescue California, said that the loss of top Newsom allies to the Biden administration could open up further opportunities to chip away at the traditional dominance of California Democrats in future statewide elections.

"The absence of all these people are going to make it harder for them to defend the U.S. Senate seat, all the constitutional offices that are being vacated," Dunsmore said. "I think it's delightful."

The Biden transition and California Democratic Party did not respond to requests for comment.

Those working the recall effort worry that the failed policies on display in California could soon affect the nation at large. According to Dunsmore, California has served as fertile testing ground for liberal policies, particularly under the leadership of House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

"This is a big game on the national stage because it's a test of the Pelosi machine," Dunsmore told the Free Beacon. "A lot of the ideas they want to try out nationally they test here."

Democrats have dismissed the effort as a Republican "coup" of the governorship, even though it's being done through legal means. Newsom's predecessor, Gov. Jerry Brown (D.), was subject to multiple recall attempts, which were ultimately unsuccessful. There is, however, precedent for a successful recall: Californians recalled then-governor Gray Davis (D.) in 2003, replacing him with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the state's last Republican governor.

Gov. Newsom's office did not respond to a request for comment.

While the rising Democratic star is tinkering with his public image, Republicans told the Free Beacon that he has lost much of the support that propelled him to the governorship in the first place. Former San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer, a potential GOP candidate in a recall election, said Californians are already voting with their feet. In the last year, tech supergiants such as Oracle, Hewlett Packard, Palantir, SpaceX, and Toyota have all moved the brunt of their operations to more hospitable business environments.

President-elect Joe Biden was confronted by a military veteran who called him out for voting for a war in which the man and his friends had served.

Air Force veteran Michael Thurman told the president-elect that he had blood on his hands after the war he voted for claimed the lives of “thousands of our brothers and sisters” along with “countless Iraqui citizens.”

“The blood is on your hands… and you are disqualified, sir.”

The man went on to say that his friends are dead because of Biden’s politics.

California's Vaccine Distribution Is a Massive Clusterfark

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are 2 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine sitting in cold storage units across the state of California. But the rate of vaccinations has slowed to a crawl and Governor Gavin Newsom suddenly changed the eligibility requirements for citizens to get a vaccine. Counties are crying for more vaccine while many frontline health care workers remain unvaccinated.

“How can California simultaneously have not enough vaccine to meet demand while so many doses remain unused?” asks the Chronicle. There’s enough blame to go around but the answer lies in the inherent inefficiency of government at all levels.

California has one of the lowest rates of vaccine administration in the country, with only a third of the 3 million doses delivered to the state actually being given so far — leaving 2 million doses apparently stored in freezers and awaiting recipients. But even with those doses in storage, county officials and health care providers say they’re scrambling to procure more.

Newsom’s recent order to expand eligibility for the vaccine to those over 65 has caused mass confusion at the local level. They aren’t seeing the number of doses they were promised by Washington or Sacramento, which has thrown off their plans for orderly vaccine distribution.

California’s rocky immunization launch reflects challenges at all levels of government. On-the-ground health care providers have struggled with staffing and logistical challenges to administer vaccines, especially in places where they’re also battling a raging surge in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations. Counties have complained that inconsistent vaccine supply hampers their ability to reliably expand vaccinations. And the state, which does not actually receive physical vaccines but instead acts as a coordinator, has struggled to navigate through the chaos in Washington.

What is Washington supposed to do? They send out the vaccine for the states to distribute. There are national guidelines on eligibility but states appear to be adopting their own rules. The result is a massive clusterfark that has slowed the rate of vaccinations to a crawl.

In Contra Costa County, 72,000 doses have been allocated to providers and just 36,000 had been administered as of Friday. But many of the remaining doses are accounted for.

“The county is not just sitting on the other 36,000 doses,” Dr. Ori Tzvieli, the deputy health officer, said Friday. “We have scheduled thousands of people to receive those doses in the next coming days and weeks.”

Perhaps the biggest SNAFU happened in Washington when governors were stunned to learn that there were no reserve doses of vaccine, despite assurances from HHS Secretary Azar that the reserve would be distributed. Governors had been harping about those doses being held in reserve when they could be given out to the states. But Azar shocked the governors by saying “No. There’s not a reserve stockpile.”

“We now have enough confidence that our ongoing production will be quality and available to provide the second dose for people, so we’re not sitting on a reserve anymore,” he said in an interview with NBC. “We’ve made that available to the states to order.”

Azar better be right.

California is a special case, however. There seems to be a disconnect between the governor’s office and local health officials who are getting mixed signals on vaccine supply. It all adds up to doses going unused, people getting sick, and the state’s health care infrastructure straining to deal with the crisis.

This failure at all levels of government is a developing tragedy. While it’s true that such a massive undertaking would result in problems, unused vaccine doses for whatever reason is an unacceptable situation.

China ‘Sought to Influence’ 2020 US Election, Director of National Intelligence Assesses

CIA Management Pressured Analysts to Withdraw Assessment

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe assessed that China interfered in the 2020 federal elections, according to a letter transmitted to Congress.

In the letter (pdf), Ratcliffe alleges that intelligence about China’s election interference was suppressed by management at the CIA, which pressured analysts to withdraw their support for the view.

Citing a report by the Intelligence Community Analytic Ombudsman Barry Zulauf, the director of national intelligence said some analysts were reluctant to describe China’s actions as election interference because they disagreed with the policies of President Donald Trump.

The Washington Examiner published Ratcliffe’s letter and the ombudsman report on Jan. 17, ten days after publishing an original report on the documents. The ODNI did not respond to requests from The Epoch Times to authenticate the documents.

“Based on all available sources of intelligence, with definitions consistently applied, and reached independent of political considerations or undue pressure—that the People’s Republic of China sought to influence the 2020 U.S. federal elections,” Ratcliffe wrote.

The report by Zulauf, the intelligence community analytic ombudsman, was sent to Congress on Jan. 7 alongside an intelligence community assessment of interference in the 2020 election. In the report (pdf), Zulauf states the analysts working on Russia and China applied different standards to their reporting on election interference. While labeling Russia’s activity as clear election interference, the analysts were reluctant to do the same for China.

“Given analytic differences in the way Russia and China analysts examined their targets, China analysts appeared hesitant to assess Chinese actions as undue influence or interference,” Zulauf wrote.

After Ten Days We Still Know Very Little about the Deaths of Four Trump Supporters at US Capitol – Why Is That?

Much has been written about violent events at the Capital on January 6th. But we really don’t know much and the DC and Capitol police have provided little related to the deaths from that day.

We’ve reported on how Antifa infiltrated the crowd at the Capital on January 6th and how Big Media is blaming their violent acts on Trump supporters. But overall we actually know very little about the events at the Capitol on that day. For example, what and who caused the deaths of the Trump supporters at the Capitol on January 6th?

The policeman whom Big Media claims died from being hit by a fire extinguisher reportedly had medical conditions and died the day after the Capitol events:

We know that Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt was killed in the Capital after being shot by a Capitol policeman. But we don’t know identity of the policeman. There are reports the policeman may have been anti-Trump. We cannot confirm this till we know the shooter’s name:

As far as the other Trump supporters killed at the Capitol we know little. One woman was reportedly trampled to death but what caused the stampede? There are reports the police started shooting tear gas without warning the Trump supporters outside the event. Is this what started the stampede?

The remaining two individuals reportedly died from natural causes. The police originally claimed the two men and Ms. Boyland died from medical emergencies (getting trampled apparently fits in this category):

The other three who died from medical emergencies were identified as 50-year-old Benjamin Phillips of Ringtown, Pennsylvania, 55-year-old Kevin Greeson of Athens, Alabama, and 34-year-old Roseanne Boylan of Kennesaw, Georgia.

Mr. Boylan reportedly died from a stroke and Mr. Greeson reportedly died from a heart attack. But were these emergencies caused by the police creating panic by sending flash bangs and tear gas into the crowd of peaceful Trump supporters?

We need more information on the deaths of the Trump supporters. How did they die and who fired the shots that may have killed them.

White House Reportedly Revokes at Least One Intel Licence to Sell to Huawei

The Trump administration blacklisted Huawei and other Chinese tech giants in 2019 as part of a broader trade war with Beijing, but has repeatedly issued exemptions to restrictions for US companies, including Intel and Microsoft, after the corporations expressed fears that they would face multi-billion dollar losses if trade was stopped completely.

The Trump administration has revoked at least one of Intel's licences to sell components to Huawei, Reuters has reported, citing unnamed sources.

Despite Washington's blacklisting of the company two years ago, Huawei continues to use Intel components, including processors for many of its products, including its new MateBook X Pro and MateBook 13/14 series.

The Commerce Department blacklisted Huawei and 70 of its affiliates from doing business with US companies, ostensibly over security concerns, but has since issued exemptions allowing the companies to continue selling components and technology to the company.

Last month, the Financial Times reported that America's European allies have been becoming "increasingly frustrated" over US restrictions against China, including unilateral sanctions, with US vendors reportedly selling products to the People's Republic and filling the void left by European firms fearful of secondary sanctions. Business and diplomatic sources told the newspaper that while US companies had been given licenses to continue supplying Huawei, European suppliers were barred from doing so.

Kremlin Critic Alexei Navalny Arrested Immediately Upon Landing In Moscow

update: As fully expected Alexei Navalny has been arrested upon his Pobeda airlines flight from Berlin landing in Moscow after Russian authorities threatened to do so over his violating probation from a prior criminal case.

Bloomberg reports that upon the plane's arrival Sunday night (local time) the 44-year old Kremlin critic and activist "was met by officers at passport control as he landed in Moscow on a plane from Berlin Sunday, according to a live video feed on his YouTube channel."

Reuters is reporting that Russian police have begun arresting supporters and allies of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny as they await his return from Berlin to Moscow.

He has reportedly boarded a Pobeda airlines plane in Germany to fly back to Russia for the first time since his alleged poisoning in August. This despite Russian authorities threatening arrest over a prior criminal case. German investigators along with Navalny himself have claimed Russian intelligence was behind an assassination attempt on direct orders from Vladimir Putin.

Specifically Russia's Federal Prison Service (FSIN) has charged Navalny with violating the terms of a suspended prison sentence still being served over a relatively minor 2014 conviction by staying in Germany.

Navalny told reporters upon boarding the plane: "Me, arrested? I’m an innocent person."

Swiss Analysts Using Machine Learning to Crack Identity of ‘Q’

(AFP) — The mysterious “Q” behind the QAnon conspiracy movement, which was instrumental in the storming of the US Capitol, is in fact two people, according to Swiss experts.

Swiss startup OrphAnalytics said it had used its algorithm-based machine-learning text analysis software, developed to detect plagiarism, to help crack the mystery behind QAnon.

“There are clearly two styles characterising the QAnon messages,” company chief Claude Alain Roten told AFP in an interview at his home in western Switzerland.

The conspiracy movement is based on messages by “Q Clearance Patriot”, who claims to be a U.S. intelligence official leaking classified information.

The so-called Q-drops began appearing on fringe messaging board 4chan in October 2017 and later moved to 8kun, promoting a vast conspiracy theory claiming President Donald Trump is waging a secret war against a global liberal cult of Satan-worshipping paedophiles.

There has been speculation about Q’s identity and whether one person is really behind thousands of these Q-drops but Roten said it was now clear “two people are behind them”.

‘Two styles’

The 60-year-old asked AFP not to divulge the location of the house, which serves as a meeting place for the dozen or so employees currently all working from home, over concern about the reaction to the firm’s analysis.

The company does so-called sequential stylometric analysis, which statistically analyses character sequences, comparing the frequency of single letters, letter pairs or triplets to determine the author or authors of a text.

They use the technique to uncover academic plagiarism, ghostwriters or, for instance, to determine whether portions of a will or a contract may have been tampered with.

But Roten, who spent three years in the United States, said he had grown increasingly concerned over QAnon’s “population manipulation” there, and had decided to apply his software on the movement without being paid.

A biologist by training, Roten switched fields after realising the same principles used to identify genetic codes could help spot the singular characteristics of a person’s writing style.

“I feel like I am still in the same profession,” he said.

Kamala Harris Set to Resign Senate Seat, Reports Claim

The Democrat junior senator from California was tapped to run as former vice-president Joe Biden's veep in August 2020, becoming Vice President-elect in November following a bitterly fought race against incumbent Donald Trump and his deputy, Mike Pence.

Kamala Harris will formally resign her Senate seat on Monday, two days before her inauguration as vice president on Wednesday, Reuters and AP have reported, citing aides said to be familiar with her plans.

Harris was elected to the Senate in 2016 after spending the previous five years serving as California's attorney general. Her Senate seat will be filled by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, a fellow Democrat. Padilla was picked to replace Harris by California Governor Gavin Newsom, and is expected to serve out the remaining two years of her term.

AP says Harris is not expected to give a farewell speech on the Senate floor, purportedly because the legislative chamber is not expected to reconvene until 19 January, the day before Inauguration Day.

Harris faced off against Biden in the 2020 Democratic primaries, calling him out for his alleged support for racist policies, including opposition to school busing for African American children in the 1970s. The attack led to a temporary rise in the polls for Harris, but was later deflated by fellow Democratic candidate and Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who accused Harris of putting people in jail for minor drug offences while "laughing" after being "asked if she ever smoked marijuana," of blocking evidence to free an innocent man from death row, and of using California's prison system as a source of cheap labour.

Harris dropped out of the presidential campaign in December 2019, before any primaries or caucuses were held, and received zero delegates. After being sworn in as vice president, Harris will be just a heartbeat away from the presidency if anything happens to 78-year-old Biden.
