Ilived in D.C. for a couple years of the Reagan Admin. It was a nice place back then, there was excessive policing on Cap Hill, but not elsewhere, it was pretty wide open. They were starting to install the ugly white barricades even back then, which detract bigly from the overall classical ambience. Was a much nice place then though.
