If symbolism will be their downfall and all games are rigged, and the good guys are in full control, which symbolism do they want winning/losing? I have some grasp of the symbolism of team names, and feel like they're all designed to be bad. Guessing Cleveland (cleavers cut, but cleave also means cling to) is preferred, if for no other reason than they've NEVER let them win it all. Cans as sit E chi Fs would seem to me like the team that should lose, but what do I know?
