That would explain it. I hardcode the site DNS in my hosts file too.

8kun keeps us separate based on OUR addresses, not which mirror we access from site through.

DNS server address are normally handed out my your ISP. But you can configure your system to ignore them and use a different one. I normally don't. These things look like honeypots.
