John McCain has written in his new book that his current term will be his last

Arizona senator also spoke of his sadness about leaving the world as he continues his battle with brain cancer.

An expert of the 81-year-old's book The Restless Wave was released on Monday.

McCain said his battle with cancer meant he could now freely speak his mind about the current political climate.

He also writes about Donald Trump saying his appearance of toughness seems to 'matter more than any of our values'.

It comes after his son-in-law Ben Domenech posted in a now-deleted tweet that McCain had asked him to look after his daughter prompting fears for his health.

Poll shows Democrats are LOSING ground with millennials as their support has slipped 9 points since 2016 and more young people trust Republicans to handle the economy.

Nearly two of three young voters say they do not like Republican Donald Trump.

But their distaste for the president does not necessarily extend to all Republicans

it also doesn't translate directly into votes for Democratic congressional candidates.

That presents a problem for Democrats who have come to count on millennials as a core constituency – and will need that loyalty to take over Congress.

Millennials are almost evenly split this year over the question of which party has a better plan for the economy.

That's a shift from two years ago, when they said Democrats had the better plan by a 12-point margin.
