Me too. The last thing my dad did on his death bed was salute a military chaplain that came to thank him for his service as a young man. He couldn't speak but he was listening to his every word. He lifted his head a little and brought his arm up and saluted him after he had finished talking. I thought the chaplain was gonna lose it. My dad drifted off and that was the last coherent communication we had with him. He died seven hours later.
