I think it's easy to get tripped up in what is 'legal' with a lot of these scenarios. If we are going out way past the edge, then what framework even applies? The 1776 Patriots rejected everything about the Crown and forged their own govt.
If Trump is essentially dumping the existin faux framework and returning to the old one, then the path from A to B has to probably happen by force. I really can't see any 'court' or….who exactly?…,providing some legal pathway.
Maybe that is where Sydney Powell comes in. There needs to be a military 'legal' resolution that people can actually cling to as authentic. That is the only thread I can see.
