Just got over-topped by a LARGE, fast-moving mil rotary-wing aircraft. LOW. Under 500 feet.
Heard it, didn't see it, but it zipped right on over before I could get into a place to put eyeballs on it.
And it kinda hung out in my general vicinity for a while afterward, because the sound stayed not too far away, for a long time after it shoulda faded out.
I know most rotary wing a/c by sound, can tell the diff between an Apache and a Blackhawk. Chinooks and Huey's are easy.
This was different. I think it mighta been an Osprey.
